April is Earth Month!

Take the Earth Month Challenge!

Earth Day is April 22 but it gives us a good reason to be especially mindful of the impact of our daily actions.

Why not create a personal Earth Month Challenge to see how you can reduce your footprint every day?

There are so many easy ways to make a difference and -- collectively -- if we all take action, whether big or small, it really adds up!

Here are a few simple and seamless suggestions:

  • Eat more plant-based foods to reduce methane gas. (Cow farming is the leading source of methane greenhouse gas in the U.S.)

  • Store tote bags in your car for easy access, to reduce plastic pollution and help our oceans and sea life thrive.

  • Wash laundry with full loads and cold water to conserve resources and electricity.

  • Reduce car trips by merging errands to reduce fuel and carbon emissions.

  • Switch to LED lightbulbs for 100 watts of light using only 9 watts for a 90% reduction!

There's a bonus to all of this, too . . .

Whenever you save energy, you also save money. Think of your Earth Month Challenge as a way to give yourself a well-deserved raise.

All of us need to do what we can to help the planet by reducing our carbon footprint and pollution. Take some easy action steps and see what you can do today!
